About The Newport Circle of Scholars

The Newport Circle of Scholars is a non-profit volunteer organization that was created to provide life long learning programs for citizens 50 years of age and older. Its programs are focused on both scholarly and general interest subjects such as history, literature, science, international events, health, and the arts. Its programs and instructor recruitment efforts are facilitated and coordinated by a Curriculum Committee, and its external relations and policy are guided by a Board of Directors.
The Circle currently operates with a combined Board/Curriculum Committee
made up of the following members:
